As part of our adventures in Guatemala, we took a day trip to Lake Atitlán, courtesy of Viator. Lake Atitlan is a stunningly beautiful body of water located in the Guatemalan Highlands, surrounded by lush green mountains and volcanos and dotted with quaint villages.
Our day included a cruise to the village of Santiago de Atitlan, known for the beautiful crafts of the Mayan tribe that has lived here for centuries. During out time here we learned that Lake Atitlán is a popular destination for swimming, kayaking, and boating, with both hotels and Airbnbs for extending your stay.
